Norstedts is now publishing "The Diary of Anne Frank" in an unabridged version. In the first version of the classic, her father, Otto Frank, omitted passages in which his daughter writes about sex, love and the complicated relationship with her mother.
This summer, publisher Svante Weyler called for a boycott of Modernista's new edition of the diary, which lacked the relevant sections.
"By publishing the complete diary in paperback, we hope that many more people will have the opportunity to read it," writes Håkan Bravinger, publishing manager at Norstedts, in a press release.
