Anna Keay, a Scot, describes the Queen, who died in 2022 after more than 70 years on the throne, as “an extraordinary woman, whose life spanned a century of great change.”
During the course of her work, Keay will have access to the Queen's personal and official documents from the Royal Archives. In addition, she will have the opportunity to speak to members of the Royal Family, the Queen's friends and household staff.
The Queen's son, King Charles III, wanted a woman to write the biography of his mother, according to British media.
