Benson was third after qualifying, but improved in the final and won with 249.5 points. Second place went to Radoslav Malenovsky of Slovakia, with 247.9 points.
Earlier during the championship in Changwon, South Korea, Anna Benson also won a world championship silver in the 50-metre rifle standing event.
