Earlier during the championship in Osijek, Anna Benson had taken European Championship silver on 10 meter standing air rifle, but on 50 meter rifle lying she took the most precious medal.
Thus she got her revenge on the German Natasha Hiltrop, who last summer took the gold at the Paralympic Games in Paris when Benson had to settle for a silver in the class. At the European Championship, Hiltrop instead became second – one point behind the Swede.
