Paracyclist Anna Beck won a bronze in the time trial at the Paralympics just over a month ago, and since then, she has also managed to bring home a World Championship gold in the same discipline.
But now it's finished cycling for the 44-year-old.
According to DN, she is now announcing that she is choosing to end her career, and instead will step in as the new national team captain for the paracycling team. A role that she has already quietly started.
Now that I've gotten started a bit with the national team captain's job, it already feels so right in my whole body... a sign that I've made the right decision to quit, she says in a press release from the Swedish Cycling Federation, according to DN.
Anna Beck took a total of 14 medals during her career at championships. Including seven World Championship golds, two European Championship golds, and three medals at the Paralympics.
