The artist Ann Wolff gets no millions from the glassworks giant Orrefors Kosta Boda. Once again, her claims are rejected by the court, reports P4 Gotland.

Ann Wolff designed the popular heat lamp holder "Snöbollen" for Kosta Boda in 1973 but has not received any copyright compensation since the mid-80s because she had a time-limited contract that according to her copyright would expire after ten years.

When Wolff wanted 15 million kronor, Orrefors Kosta Boda said no, then Wolff sued the company. Gotland District Court dismissed the case – and now the Labor Court does so as well. The court establishes that Wolff was not employed by Orrefors Kosta Boda, but by another company.

I do not understand the Labor Court's judgment, says Wolff's lawyer Jens Tillqvist, and believes that the glassworks may have infringed Ann Wolff's copyright.

Wolff wants the multimillion amount from Orrefors Kosta Boda to start a foundation that will award a prize to young female designers.

88-year-old Ann Wolff must now pay the court costs of 400,000 kronor.
