"Powerful, fiery and poking" is how the jury describes Anja Fredell's artwork, which she displays on both floors and walls. According to the jury, the textile art also "bears witness to great curiosity about both what is within us, as well as what meets us at the edge of the forest".

Anja Fredell comes from Torsby in Värmland and earned a master's degree in textile art at HDK-Valand.

The purpose of the scholarship is to reward a young promising artist. Fredell's work will be exhibited at Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde in Stockholm between October 21 and November 22.
