Sweden missed out on a medal for the first time in the World Floorball Championships. The bronze medal match against Finland ended in a loss, 4–6.

It's sad, I think we're a better team than Finland today, but the referees aren't with us, the ball doesn't want to go in. It sucks not to get this third place, says three-goal scorer Hanna Nordstrand to SVT.

Sweden came to the World Championships in the Czech Republic with nine straight World Championships gold medals and was chasing a tenth. But the semifinal loss to Switzerland (3–6) on Saturday was the beginning of Sweden's unique medal failure.

Hanna Nordstrand doesn't think any major changes are needed for Sweden to become a winner again.

"Build on what we have and believe in each other. We are a good national team and we will prove that later," she says.

Switzerland won the final against the Czech Republic 2–0 and took their first World Cup gold medal since 2005.
