Ange Postecoglou trained Tottenham for two seasons, and took the London team to their first European title in 41 years this spring. "Spurs" finished 17th in the Premier League, however, and Postecoglou was fired after the season.
Now, the Australian coach is set for a new club – league rival Nottingham Forest.
"We are bringing in a coach to the club who has a proven and consistent history of winning cups", Forest writes in a statement.
The club fired coach Nuno Espírito Santo earlier on Tuesday when the Portuguese had fallen out with Nottingham Forest's owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Last season, Forest finished in a historic seventh place – the club's best placement in the Premier League in decades – and qualified for the European Championship.
