It is The Times that, referring to statements made on the podcast "The Rest Is Politics", writes that Burnham will disclose details of his meetings with Manchester City’s owners and government officials from the United Arab Emirates.
"The Leader of the Opposition has asked me to make public details of my meetings, and I am happy to do so. None of them were really recent. I only had one meeting of significance, and that was in 2021," says Andy Burnham.
Burnham was mayor of Greater Manchester from 2017 until he became Labour leader this summer and took over as prime minister.
Manchester City has been found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations between 2009 and 2018, but has not yet been sentenced.
