A friend of Andreas Schjelderup alerted him to the fact that it is illegal to share sexual content with people under the age of 18. Schjelderup has said that he did not know the ages of the people and only watched a few seconds of the video, but cooperated with the police when contacted.
The verdict raised questions about whether he would be granted a visa to the United States, but a visa has now been granted by American authorities.
Andreas Schjelderup plays for Benfica and has made ten international appearances for Norway.
