Andreas Almgren, bronze medalist on 10,000 meters in the World Championship in Tokyo, has been elected to the athletes' committee in the International Athletics Federation (WA).
"I feel honored that I have been given the trust and the task. It is an important task to be able to create the best possible conditions for the athletes. I look forward to starting the work", says Almgren in a press release.
The committee has 18 members who sit for a term of four years. Six new members have now been elected.
