"If it is as our analysis shows, it is a war crime," says Abdi Hassan, spokesperson for Amnesty Sweden.

When the US launched the war against Iran on February 28, an elementary school adjacent to a military facility was attacked. Using satellite images and ammunition remnants, Amnesty International, like several other analysts, now says the US is likely behind the attack.

Amnesty's investigation into the school, which according to the organization provided education for both girls and boys, shows that the US military attacked it directly, Hassan says, adding that gross negligence is behind the attack.

It is in violation of international humanitarian law.
