At least twelve people have been killed in a series of explosions in an arms depot in northwestern Syria. Over 100 have been injured, according to the British-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR).
The ammunition and arms depot in the village of Maarat Misrin in the Idlib province belongs to the jihadist organization Turkistanska Islamic Party, according to SOHR.
Among the fatalities is at least one child. The cause of the explosions is being investigated, according to the Syrian Ministry of the Interior.
