The net interest income – what the bank earns on the difference between deposit and lending rates – lands at 23.53 billion dollars for the quarter. Here, analysts had calculated 22.8 billion dollars, according to a compilation from Bloomberg.
Competitor Wells Fargo reports a result per share of 1.42 dollars. Also, this was slightly higher than what the analysts had seen ahead of them.
