There, Amelia Adamo tells about how she received the message while this year's Pink Ribbon campaign was launched in October, according to Aftonbladet.
”The irony of fate is that I on the campaign day stood proudly and told about how and why I started the Pink Ribbon magazine for Amelia in 2001. Inside me, the tumor was growing that I was then unaware of”, she writes.
Amelia Adamo's cancer is triple-negative, and thus tends to have a faster progression. It is also more prone to spread. But she emphasizes in the magazine Amelia that nine out of ten women in Sweden are cured of their breast cancer. She will begin chemotherapy and then undergo an operation.
Amelia Adamo, 78, started as a journalist at Svensk Damtidning. Between 1984 and 1991, she was feature editor at Aftonbladet and in 1995 she started the magazine Amelia.
