Recently, Ukraine and Sweden signed a letter of intent stating that Ukraine will purchase up to 150 Jas Gripen planes.
When the news was presented, Saab CEO Micael Johansson said that it might be possible to relocate some of the production to Ukraine.
"Yes absolutely, it's something we're looking at, having a partner who does parts of this in Ukraine," he said.
Now Svitlana Zalishchuk confirms that there have been discussions about establishing a Saab factory in Ukraine.
But it is too early to make any of the content of these negotiations public, she says in Ekot's Saturday interview.
A first possible delivery of the plan could be within three years, said Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) when the declaration of intent was presented.
We would like it to happen sooner, says Svitlana Zalishchuk.
