The film, which will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, is about 20-year-old Ejva, who must take over the family's reindeer herding when her father dies.
"To have the European premiere in competition in San Sebastián is a great honour. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to making this film," says Amanda Kernell in a press release.
The San Sebastián Festival runs from September 18 to 26.
