Two alpacas were attacked by a wolf outside Skara over the weekend. One of the animals died from its injuries, reports Skaraborgs Allehanda.

The second alpaca had an injury from a bite, but survived. This is reported by the County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland County, which has now examined the animals.

There have been several wolf attacks in the area in recent months, including against sheep.

In mid-September, the County Administrative Board decided on protective hunting of wolves in a limited area. The hunt took place in Skövde and Skara municipalities until the turn of the month.
