"The Murkelsson Family" is a newly written historical epic about a Swedish family from 1752 to 2026, written by Alma Lindé and directed by Maja Salomonsson.
The play is about social inheritance across generations, about child auctions, public school reforms, and how the structures of society shape us. But how the political play will end remains unwritten.
"I will finish writing the final scene in the play only after the election; in it, 18-year-old Tiffany Murkelsson will vote for the first time and be involved in deciding what kind of society she wants to live in," Alma Lindé says in a press release.
Corrected: In an earlier version, Maja Salomonsson had the wrong first name in the caption.
