The routes affected are Stockholm-Sundsvall-Umeå-Luleå-Narvik and Stockholm-Östersund-Åre-Duved.
No replacement traffic will be deployed, as the Swedish Transport Administration advises against all road traffic in the area.
SMHI also advises against unnecessary travel on the roads. Heavy snowfall combined with wind can cause traffic chaos with snowdrifts, skidding, poor visibility and sleet, especially in northern and eastern Svealand.
Aviation is also affected, with canceled departures and severe delays.
