All 13 people convicted of crimes in the so-called Ica scandal are now appealing to the Supreme Court, reports Dagligvarunytt.
The case has been called the largest insider scandal in Sweden's history. Already in late 2023, 18 people were prosecuted and 16 were convicted in the Stockholm District Court. After appeals, a total of 17 cases were retried by the Svea Court of Appeal, and in June this year, 13 of the defendants were convicted and sentenced to prison.
The convicted are now choosing to appeal the verdict to the Supreme Court.
