It was in the spring that 32-year-old Putellas said goodbye to FC Barcelona, the club she had represented since 2012.
It is now clear that she will continue her career in England with the London City Lionesses. On Wednesday, the Spaniard was presented by the English WSL club.
"The club's ambition and desire to become bigger made me make this decision," the attacking midfielder says in a press release.
Putellas has been named the world's best player twice, in 2021 and 2022, when she was awarded the Ballon d'Or. In London, she will be teamed with Kosovare Asllani, who is recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
