The actor and director Alexander Salzberger is setting up Lars Norén's modern theater classic "Personkrets 3:1" at the Cultural Center City Theater in Stockholm.

Salzberger makes his own adaptation which takes place in "a contemporary nightmare landscape" in Stockholm. The consequences of the dismantling of the welfare state become "scarily clear", according to a press release where Salzberger tells that he has been given permission from Lars Norén's heirs to weave in his own autobiographical experiences.

In my artistry, I almost exclusively work with the same themes as in "3:1": abuse, mental illness, family relationships, he says to Dagens Nyheter.

"Personkrets 3:1" had its premiere at Riksteatern in 1998, directed by Lars Norén himself, and quickly became theater history. The new production premieres on March 6 and the roles are played by, among others, Shebly Niavarani, Helena af Sandeberg and Robert Fux.
