Alexander Isak scores seventh Premier League goal as Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 3-1

Alexander Isak is still in fine form. The Swedish national team star scored his seventh Premier League goal of the season in a 3-1 away win over Crystal Palace. But it is surprise package Brighton who now sit second in the table.

Alexander Isak received a pass from Florian Wirtz, feinted and made it 3-0 in the 89th minute away to Crystal Palace.

Isak is now two goals behind Manchester City's Norwegian star Erling Braut Haaland in the league's top-scorer standings.

Liverpool are fourth in the table, nine points behind leaders Arsenal and four points behind surprise package Brighton.

For Yasin Ayari's Brighton, Manchester City also cruised to a 2-0 home win over Brentford.

Brighton defeated Manchester City away last time out and followed that up with their seventh win in the first ten league rounds.

Diego Gómez made it 1-0 against Brentford in the 15th minute, and Pascal Gross extended the lead from the penalty spot just before half-time.

Swedish international Yasin Ayari was, as usual, in coach Fabian Hürzeler's starting eleven.

Brighton are five points behind leaders Arsenal and one point ahead of Manchester City.
