Isak netted – draw in top match

The ankle injury stopped Alexander Isak from the national team's Nations League meetings with Slovakia and Estonia recently. Now Newcastle's forward is back – and with a bang. Tonight's top meeting in Premier League had no winner – Arsenal and Liverpool played 2–2.

Isak equalized for his struggling club team against Chelsea in the 1-2 loss at Stamford Bridge in London.

After Chelsea's and Cole Palmer's leading and winning goals, he was involved in two really hot equalizing chances.

Isak got an excellent opportunity on substitute Joe Willock's left-wing cross, but Reece James covered the header in front of the goal and Chelsea could clear.

Isak then tried a dribbling move – but there he should have released the ball to a free-standing teammate instead of finishing himself.

Nicolas Jackson gave Chelsea a 1-0 lead before halftime. Alexander Isak's 1-1 came after 30 minutes of play, on a pass from Lewis Hall.

Draw in top match

The top match between Arsenal and Liverpool ended 2-2, after Arsenal had led twice.

English national team star Bukayo Saka set the tone directly when he elegantly fooled Andy Robertson and scored the leading goal for Arsenal, high up in one corner.

Virgil van Dijk's equalizing goal on a header was followed by Mikel Merino's first goal for Arsenal. He had to wait a few minutes before the VAR room came to the conclusion that the Spaniard was onside when Declan Rice took the free kick.

Arsenal had William Saliba suspended after the red card against Bournemouth in the previous round. In the second half, central defender Gabriel had problems with his left knee and was forced to change. Thus, Arsenal were without the central defense that is considered one of the league's best.

Liverpool took advantage of this, when Darwin Nunez played Mohamed Salah to 2-2 with precision.

Liverpool is second in the league, one point behind leading Manchester City. Arsenal is third, five points behind City.

Tough for Tottenham

The rest of the Swedish national team players' Sunday in Premier League football:

+ Emil Krafth sat on Newcastle's bench the entire match.

+ Victor Nilsson Lindelöf was substituted in the 84th minute when Manchester United lost 1-2 away to West Ham.

+ Dejan Kulusevski had a tough afternoon when Tottenham lost (0-1) the London derby away to Crystal Palace. He drew an unnecessary yellow card before being substituted off the pitch after an hour's play, replaced by Timo Werner.

+ Lucas Bergvall was in the squad but got no playing time against Crystal Palace.
