Alexander Isak made his debut for his new club when Liverpool began the season's Champions League football with a 3-2 win over Atlético Madrid on Wednesday. But when it's a local derby against Everton in the Premier League today, Isak will start on the bench.
Instead, another offensive new acquisition, Hugo Ekitiké, will start as the central striker for Liverpool.
If Isak is substituted in, it will be the Swede's first Premier League minutes since he left league rival Newcastle for around 1.66 billion kronor – a record for the English top division – just before the transfer window closed.
Liverpool–Everton kicks off at 13.30.
