Alexander Isak was back in Liverpool's starting eleven for the home match against Nottingham in the Premier League. The match? The Swedish star would probably like to forget it. The away team won by a whopping 3–0.

The Premier League started again after the international break and Liverpool did so with a Swedish star in the starting eleven again.

Alexander Isak was back to starting in the league for the first time since October 19. The Swedish striker had missed several weeks due to a troublesome groin injury.

Liverpool opened the match strongly but despite an early lead it was the visitors who broke the deadlock. Just over half an hour into the match, the brass Murillo held on for a corner and scored the opening goal.

The guests went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

And it would get worse for Isak's Liverpool. Just a few minutes into the second half, Nicolo Savona slipped away and made it 2-0. A quarter of an hour later, Isak was substituted, scoreless. The Swede has yet to find the net for Liverpool in the Premier League.

Nottingham also managed to make it 3–0 in the final stages of the match.

With the loss, Liverpool is tenth in the table. Nottingham climbed up to sixteenth place.
