Alcaraz won Sunday's final in the ATP tournament in London with 7–5, 6–7 (5–7), 6–2 against the Czech Jiri Lehecka.
The Spaniard recently won a dramatic and marathon-long final in the Grand Slam tournament French Championships in Paris against world number one Jannik Sinner, Italy.
Alcaraz now has five tournament titles in 2025 and will be considered the favorite on Wimbledon's grass. The Grand Slam tournament starts on June 30 and Alcaraz has won the last two editions.
In the women's tournament, an old champion is in great shape. The Czech Marketa Vondrousova won Wimbledon 2023, but has had a year of injuries.
Now she played her second WTA tournament this year and after knocking out world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals in Berlin, Vondrousova won the final against the Chinese Wang Xinyu with 7–6 (12–10), 4–6, 6–2.
The Czech was ranked number 164 in the world before the tournament, but will now likely climb significantly in the world rankings.
Her compatriot Barbora Krejcikova is the title defender in Wimbledon.
