After a hectic ATP season, tennis star Carlos Alcaraz is directing criticism at the schedule.

There are many good players who will miss tournaments due to injury. Maybe they're trying to kill us?, says Alcaraz.

The statement comes after the Laver Cup, which ended over the weekend.

The Spaniard has so far played 54 matches this year and believes that the intense schedule is harmful to tennis players.

Alcaraz has won both the French Championships and Wimbledon this season. However, he has also had to withdraw from tournaments, such as the ATP tournament in Barcelona. Already last year, the star struggled with several injuries.

It happens that I want to skip tournaments, I'm not going to lie about it. Sometimes I'm not motivated at all, says Alcaraz about the situation.
