According to authorities and eyewitness accounts on social media, missiles hit the Russian city of Belgorod overnight. They reportedly struck a thermal power plant, and reports indicate that a major fire broke out.
The governor of the Belgorod region described it on social media as a “massive robot attack,” saying heating and water supplies have been knocked out.
Overnight there were also reports of explosions and a fire at an oil depot in the occupied city of Luhansk in eastern Ukraine.
On Wednesday, Ukraine was reported to have attacked a factory in the Smolensk region, further north. According to Russian reports, at least seven people were killed.
