"We suspect it may be a workplace accident," Emil Eriksson with the police told Aftonbladet.
The alarm came at 5:35 p.m. Ambulance, police and rescue services were sent to the scene.
Two men were taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The men had been exposed to a dangerous substance, Emil Berggren, alarm and management officer at the rescue service, told TT.
It is said to have happened in connection with a container. We have assisted in decontaminating the people, he said.
