Explosion at entrance in Malmö – no one injured

Police and rescue services were alerted to an explosion in Håkanstorp in Malmö late on Saturday evening.

It is something that has detonated in the entrance to an apartment building. There are some material damages in connection to the entrance, says Mikael Lindh, officer in charge at the police, to TT.

No one is believed to have been injured in connection with the incident and the residents of the house did not need to be evacuated.

We are now taking investigative measures on site. We are looking to see if we can find witnesses, we have cordoned off and are waiting for technicians and the national bomb squad, says Mikael Lind.

The alarm came in just after 11:30 PM. The police are tight-lipped about what exploded.

The incident is classified as gross reckless endangerment.
