The paint manufacturer Akzo Nobel, with 900 employees in Sweden, reports an unexpectedly weak result for the second quarter of the year.
The net profit fell to 124 million euros, from 177 million euros during the corresponding quarter last year. Analysts had on average expected a decline, but only to 160 million euros.
The adjusted operating result decreased 2 percent to 303 million euros, compared to expected 314 million.
Revenue decreased 6 percent to 2.6 billion euros.
