TV4 News reports that a gun-like object was dropped near Åkesson.
"I heard it was a revolver or a pistol," Åkesson told the channel.
The police have received information this afternoon that a weapon-like object was dropped and then picked up in central Jokkmokk by one or more people. However, the police cannot comment on the incident's possible connection to Åkesson.
"I have no information that anyone has been threatened in connection with an object being dropped on the ground," police spokesperson Marie Andersson told TT.
No object has been found by the police.
