The U.S. military command center Centcom says U.S. forces and Bahrain's air defenses shot down three missiles fired at Bahrain.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards, according to Iranian media, say they attacked a U.S. base in Bahrain in response to U.S. attacks.
Centcom also stated that U.S. forces shot down drones launched from Iran against civilian shipping. A U.S. strike was also carried out against a military target on the island of Qeshm.
The Kuwaiti military is urging residents to follow local safety regulations and not approach debris from downed projectiles. According to the U.S., missiles fired at the country have broken up in midair.
