The airline group's adjusted operating profit of 484 million euros was lower than last year's profit of 736 million euros, but higher than analysts' average forecast of 327 million euros.
Air France-KLM expects a 1 percent decline in short- and medium-haul flights and a 2-3 percent increase for the group as a whole. This is the second downward adjustment compared with the forecast before the Iran war.
“We delivered strong commercial performance driven by continued robust demand for premium travel, particularly in Asian and North American markets,” CEO Benjamin Smith said in a statement.
Turnover rose 9.9 percent to 9,277 million euros. This was slightly higher than the expected 9,189.
