Air France-KLM is the first to make a bid for Portuguese rival TAP. The non-binding offer comes after the Portuguese government decided to sell up to 49.9 percent of the airline.
Air France-KLM became a major shareholder in SAS in 2023 and is now expected to face competition from, among others, Germany's Lufthansa in the TAP sales process.
