Aino Bunge has been appointed as the new first vice governor of the central bank, the central bank writes in a press release.

The Swedish Central Bank's General Council has also formally decided to initiate a recruitment process to find a new member for the Swedish Central Bank's Board of Directors. The recruitment begins to find a replacement for Anna Breman, who is leaving the Board of Directors to become the central bank governor in New Zealand.

"The Swedish Central Bank's Board of Directors will consist of four members until a new member takes office. In voting on decisions, the proposal that has gathered a majority of the votes wins. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Governor of the Swedish Central Bank, has a casting vote in the event of a tie", writes the Swedish Central Bank.
