The Damallsvenskan was back on Saturday – with three matches.
In Solna, AIK took a strong win against Linköping.
A Linköping that is in a large economic pinch with a deficit of 2.5 million after the previous season.
The black and yellows took the lead ten minutes into the second half through Adelisa Grabus, AIK's top scorer during last year's season.
In stoppage time, 17-year-old debutant Aleksandra Bogucka extended the final score to 2–0.
AIK had won one of their five latest matches against Linköping before today's meeting.
At Grimsta IP in Stockholm, BP had a dream start to the season, where they beat newcomers Alingsås 5–1.
Ida Bengtsson initiated the scoring in the 24th minute, when she set 1–0, which also became the halftime score.
Less than 20 minutes into the second half, BP had gone up to 4–0.
Karin Lundin scored the consolation goal shortly after, but Alingsås couldn't get closer than that.
Instead, Tuva Olvestad scored her second penalty of the match to the final score of 5–1.
The third match between IFK Norrköping and Vittsjö ended 1–1.
