AIK suffered a double defeat in the first semifinal in Hockeyallsvenskan against Karlskoga.

Loss, 1–2, and then forward Oskar Magnusson got injured and was substituted after being tackled in the head by Karlskoga's Måns Krämer. Krämer received a match penalty and risks suspension.

AIK failed to capitalize on Krämer's five-minute penalty.

Our power play unit is totally useless. It's not enough in these kinds of matches where you need to be good to be able to close out matches, says Oscar Nord to TV4 Play.

Instead, Karlskoga could make it 1–0 shortly after the penalty in the second period (Kalle Jellvert). Eskild Bakke Olsen extended to 2–0 in the third period and Christoffer Björk, AIK, scored the consolation goal with just over three minutes left.

Match two, in the best of seven, is played on Thursday.
