It feels indescribable. When I heard that AIK was interested, there was no hesitation about the matter. I see this as a great challenge and I'm very eager to get started, says William Hofvander to the club's website.

The 22-year-old grew up in the Stockholm area and has previously represented Frej, Lidingö, and HTFF. Now he's returning "home" again after a successful season in Division 1, where Hofvander scored 15 goals and made seven assists during the season.

William comes from an impressive season in Umeå FC and has proven after the move there that he has grown as a football player. He is a forward who has both a fine physique and goal-scoring abilities that we look forward to further developing in our environment, says sports manager Thomas Berntsen to the club's website.

The agreement extends over the 2026 season.
