Last Sunday, the teams met in Stockholm in a match that ended 3–0 to Örgryte. On Saturday, they faced each other again, this time at Gamla Ullevi.
Örgryte got off to a dream start when Noah Christofferson, who scored a hat-trick in the previous match, struck. The 27-year-old has now scored eight goals in the Allsvenskan this season, four of them against AIK.
Carlstrand equalised after half an hour, but Örgryte immediately retook the lead through Anton Andreasson.
In the 74th minute, AIK's 19-year-old talent Sixten Gustafsson tied the score at 2-2, and shortly afterwards, Örgryte's Daniel Paulson received a red card after a high kick at Dino Besirovic.
AIK then pulled away after a second goal by Carlstrand, before substitute Yannick Geiger made it 4-2 in the 87th minute.
With seconds left, the home team reduced the deficit to 3-4 through Jerome Tibbling.
