AIK Edge Leksand in Shootout Before 13,950 Fans at Avicii Arena

Leksand drew 2–2 with AIK in the red-hot Hockey Allsvenskan series final before 13,950 spectators at Avicii Arena. In the end, the home team won 3–2 in a penalty shootout.

Awesome. An incredible experience to be a part of this, says AIK goalkeeper Jhonas Enroth about the crowd support on TV4 Play.

Before the meeting in Stockholm, league leaders AIK had taken 38 of 45 possible points. Behind them, Leksand was trailing with 35 points.

For a long time, it looked like the Solna club would be heading for another victory in regulation time.

During the second period, Ryder Rolston put AIK ahead 1–0 after seven minutes, and halfway through the period he extended the lead to 2–0.

But in the third period, Leksand woke up.

First, Tyler Kelleher scored past Jhonas Enroth, and 28 seconds later Patrik Zackrisson made it 2–2. The goal sent the game to a scoreless overtime.

In the penalty shootout, Enroth scored again, while Rolston and Scott Pooley also found the net.

AIK had a tough start to the series finale. After just three minutes, Theoklis Theocharidis was awarded a penalty after the defender cross-checked Leksand's Riley McCourt into the goal with his head.

During the match, the team's top scorer, Oliver Johansson (seven goals), announced that he would be out for a while due to an injury to his left hand.

I won't play any more in 2026 anyway, Johansson told TV4, according to Aftonbladet.
