AIK and Häcken Draw 3-3 in Thrilling Allsvenskan Match

AIK continues to be the league leaders in the men's football Allsvenskan. But a win would not come away against Häcken (3–3) – in a match that was at least eventful.

The home team has been heavy on set pieces in Allsvenskan. Something that would be the case even on Wednesday evening in Gothenburg.

In the 16th minute, Benjamin Tiedemann Hansen would meet the ball with his head on a corner and send in 1-0 in front of the traveling AIK crowd.

But would the goal have been approved?

Häcken goalkeeper Etrit Berisha gesticulated heavily towards referee Kristoffer Karlsson and pointed out that he was held back by AIK's Kazper Karlsson.

It's not good by the referee. He gave no explanation and gave me a yellow card too, says Berisha at halftime.

Häcken's Turnaround

Kazper Karlsson was of a different opinion.

I'm just standing there, not holding onto him or anything. So I don't agree, says he to Max.

AIK led into the break - but Häcken, heavily plagued by injuries, would change that in the second half.

First, a solid long-range shot from Samuel Leach Holm a good bit outside the penalty area sailed into the crossbar.

Then - four minutes later - they would also take the lead through Severin Nioule in a lightning-fast counterattack.

2-1, but the crowd at Bravida Arena didn't get to breathe a sigh of relief.

New Dream Goal

The home team would be a notch worse than the Hisingen team and within the span of two minutes equalize and then take the lead 3-2.

The equalizer came through a new dream goal into the crossbar by Victor Andersson. While the lead goal was scored by Andronikos Kakoullis after Häcken's sloppy play in the buildup.

But in stoppage time, when the three points seemed to be going home with AIK, Leach Holm would score his second of the match.

After a goal fest in the second half, the match ended in a draw - but "Gnaget" still retains the league lead in Allsvenskan.

We're very disappointed that we're not leaving with three points. It feels a bit empty right now, says AIK's Victor Andersson to Max.

A goal-rich match would also become the case in Halmstad where visiting Gais climbed several places after a 3-1 win. Big matchwinner became Gothenburg team's Ibrahim Diabate who scored a hat-trick.
