Aicher, who competes for Germany, won silver in both the downhill and team events at the Olympics. On Friday, she was close to another podium finish - but missed out on third place by just three tenths of a second.
American star Lindsey Vonn, who crashed and seriously injured one of her legs in the Olympic downhill race, continues to lead the downhill World Cup. Emma Aicher is in second place and is now 94 points behind with three races remaining.
Swiss Corinne Suter won Friday's downhill race, eleven hundredths of a second ahead of Austrian Nina Ortlieb and 24 hundredths of a second ahead of Italian Sofia Goggia.
