According to the company, employees' English will be corrected in real-time and "make them more understandable".
The technology, which also reduces background noise, will be introduced at call centers in India, where employees provide customer service to customers worldwide. Among Teleperformance's customers are Apple, TikTok owner Bytedance, and Samsung.
When you have an Indian agent on the line, it's sometimes hard to hear and understand, says Teleperformance SE's Vice President Thomas Mackenbrock in an interview with Bloomberg.
He says that the new technology completely neutralizes an Indian accent.
This creates more intimacy, increases customer satisfaction, and reduces the average handling time. It's a win-win for both parties, says Mackenbrock.
The company does not want to disclose which of their customers are using the new technology.
