Several Asian stock markets were in the red during Friday morning trading.

The decline is driven by concerns about how artificial intelligence will affect sectors such as logistics and real estate, writes CNBC.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng index is the biggest loser, down 1.8 percent.

The Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges are down 0.7 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.

At lunchtime, Japan's Topix was down 1 percent while the Nikkei 225 was down 0.7 percent.

South Korea's Kospi is defying the decline and is up 0.3 percent this morning.
