David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig continue to steam on in the World Championship tournament in Poland. But this time it did not go as easily as expected.
Against the French pair Téo Rotar and Arnaud Gauthier-Rat, a deciding set was required to advance to the semifinal. But once there, it was no contest.
The final score was 21–11, 15–21, 15–10.
The tournament in the Polish town of Stare Jablonki is the first tournament in two years where the world stars have gone down a level to a Challenge event, one level below Elite where Åhman and Hellvig usually compete.
Both the semifinal and a potential final will be played on Sunday.
