Agnero's Goal Streak Boosts Halmstad Despite Injury Setback

Goal scorer again, winner again – but unfortunately also injured. Yannick Agnero experienced an eventful Allsvenskan Saturday with his Halmstad.

The Ivorian took over against Brommapojkarna at Grimsta IP, where he finished at home against Värnamo in the previous round.

As a goal scorer.

The distinct shot in the beginning of the second half was the 22-year-old's fourth goal so far this Allsvenskan season – and the match's only one.

With about a quarter left to play, he was forced to step off with a foot injury.

Agnero got his foot bandaged, but could easily limp away on his own when it was time to enter the locker room after the win.

Halmstad's lift in the table can be linked to Agnero's fine form. In the last three matches, HBK has taken seven points – and in the last four matches, the striker has gotten a reward.

Via today's 1–0, last week's 4–2 against Värnamo and 1–1 against Sirius before that, Halmstad – which started the season shakily – can look back on three undefeated matches in a row.

Tim Erlandsson injured himself halfway through last season. An operation awaited, and only now was he back in Halmstad's goal and got to keep a clean sheet.

I've been waiting for this chance and felt that I did my job. I haven't played Allsvenskan football in nine months. Unbelievably nice with three points to take home on the bus, he says to Max.
